5 tbsp cold unsalted butter

3 tbsp cold shortening

1/2 tsp salt

3 tbsp cold water

Maple Pumpkin Pie with Candied Spiced Pecans

1 recipe for single pie crust

1 15 – ounce can pumpkin
2/3 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon ground ginger
3 eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup milk

¾ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup water
3 shakes cinnamon
